Where should you invest $100 right now?

Elon Musk just invented and patented **[this new AI technology…](https://americanmadefocus.com/elretwin?utm%5Fsource=americanmade.beehiiv.com&utm%5Fmedium=newsletter&utm%5Fcampaign=china-supplies-60-of-u-s-antibiotic-ingredients-washington-is-paying-drug-makers-to-change-that&%5Fbhlid=52b6ff8215c49a86537bde16f68141811c6bfcd1)**

And he's predicting it will launch a NEW industry that will grow more than 7 million percent in the coming years.

Even if he's only 10% right, that would still be enough to grow $100 into more than $700,000.

Here’s a number that stopped me cold.

That’s how much drug firms have pledged to build new plants in America. Over the next four to ten years. Twenty-two new sites. Roughly 44,000 new jobs.

Lebanon, Indiana. Wilson, North Carolina. Holly Springs. Durham. Small towns. Big money.

Why now?

Two words: tariff clock.

On April 2, President Trump signed a Section 232 order. It slaps a 100% tariff on drug imports. That’s not a typo. One hundred percent.

But here’s the deal. Firms that show a real plan to make drugs here get a break. They pay 20%. Sign a deal to match global pricing too? Zero. At least until 2029.

The first deadline hits July 31\. That’s two weeks from today.

Drug makers are moving fast. And you should pay close attention.

We make a lot of pills here. But we don’t make what goes in them.

China sends us more than 60% of the active parts for our antibiotics. India makes most of our generic drug inputs. But India gets 70% of its raw stock from… China.

Think about that. One country runs the start of the chain. For drugs that keep you alive.

This is not just a trade issue. It’s a safety issue. And Washington stepped up.

The FDA launched PreCheck in February. It gives firms building new U.S. plants early help with approvals. Seven firms made the first cut. Out of more than 80 that applied. Eli Lilly. Regeneron. FUJIFILM. Amneal. They’re all in.

The message is clear. Build here or pay up.

The big money is moving fast.

Eli Lilly pledged $27 billion for four new plants. Their Lebanon, Indiana campus alone has $18 billion behind it. When it opens in 2027, it will be the largest API site in U.S. history. API means active drug ingredient. The stuff that makes the pill work.

Merck went even bigger — **$70 billion**. New sites in Virginia, Delaware, and North Carolina.

Johnson & Johnson put up $55 billion over four years. A $2 billion biologics plant in Wilson, North Carolina will add 420 jobs.

Novo Nordisk is putting $4.1 billion into North Carolina. A thousand new jobs. 1.4 million square feet.

Pfizer put new money into its sterile shot plants in January.

North Carolina alone has four big builds going up. Let that sink in.

Here’s what most people miss. All these new plants need gear. Bioreactors. Filtration rigs. Single-use parts.

As of late 2025, gear makers had not seen orders to match the pledges. A safe guess says 15% of that $480 billion should flow to gear makers. That’s **$72 billion** in new orders. Money that has not landed yet.

When it does… the firms that build this gear will have more work than they can handle.

That’s the picks-and-shovels play. And it might be the smartest bet of all.

Drug plants employ about 350,000 people in America today. That should grow to nearly 370,000 by 2034\. These are high-pay jobs. Higher wages than most other plant work.

The global drug-making market sits at roughly $650 billion in 2026\. North America holds about a third of it.

The ISM PMI hit 53.3 in June. That’s six straight months of growth for U.S. plants.

The sector is hot. The money is flowing. And the tariff clock is ticking.

Three ways to play this wave. Lilly is the giant. They make the drugs and build the plants. Revenue jumped 56% in Q1\. They raised guidance. Thermo Fisher is the arms dealer. Every new drug plant needs their tools. They raised their outlook too. Repligen is the smaller bet. They make bioreactors and filtration rigs. Revenue jumped 15%. Earnings crushed estimates. When $480 billion in pledges starts turning into real orders… these three sit right in the path of the money.
